CONGO WILD ANIMALS

Well I have done some painting at last, its only two models but its a start
I painted up some wild animals for our Congo game we recently started playing.

First up is the Gorilla ... a somewhat scary creature to disturb in the jungle

The next one is the somewhat aggressive Rhino, always getting angry when distrubed - you have to watch for this one

Also, regarding painting, since its getting darker these days with winter not that far away, I have now promised myself to put aside one night a week to painting, and to motivate myself I have moved my painting stuff to Andrews house as I always found it more productive if you paint with some company while doing it.....

My Wargaming / Painting & Boardgames Blog

I have been painting miniatures since I was about 12 years , beginning with Tamiya 1:35 tanks and aircraft's. Then progressed to wargaming when I was in my mid 20's starting with Warhammer 40K and then moved into Mordhiem followed by 5th Edition Warhammer Fantasy, then spent a long time playing Flames of War games.

Now days I mostly just play 28mm Skirmish type games like Saga, Bolt Action and Congo.

My Saga 'Viking age' armies include a large Anglo-Saxon force (that also act as a Anglo-Danish Force) I also have a Rus Princes Force, Moors and now getting into the Roman age era.

I have a USA fleet for "Trafalgar", which is a Naval wargame set in the early 1800's, which with our interest in sailing, is a fun game of rated Ship of the Line's and Frigates battling each other.

Been Board-gaming for a number of years now .

Have started to gain a large collection of board games now, mostly have 2-player games like Twilight Struggle. I find 2 player board games very addictive especially when playing with the likes of my brother, always a good fun game is found even when losing :-)
